From an idea on our parents back porch >>> to a beautiful 40 foot shipping container home!
After all three of us siblings committed to the idea, the bare container was purchased from a local Spartanburg, SC company that sells and outfits containers. The container was dropped off in October 2020 and the first guests walked through the door in October 2021. It was a long, fun project and we hope you all love the finished product as much as we loved creating it for you!
To start the project, we googled shipping containers for sale in our area. Ultimately, we found this guy;) A bright orange, used, 40 foot shipping container. The business we bought it from, painted the exterior, cut out the windows, and dropped it off!
Its a bit of an overkill but we love impractical things:) On top of the container is a 26 foot deck! Use it for sunbathing, yoga, or the perfect breakfast coffee sitting spot!
Tiny homes can feel small. We wanted to find a way to really open up the space. We took it quite literally and decided to add a fully insulated glass garage door. When open it creates a wonderful flow between the exterior and interior of the container.
Soak it up! Out on the covered patio we have a 5 seater hot tub! Ideal for cooler nights. The lights above are dimmable and can be adjusted just inside the garage door.
Adirondack chairs offer seating down by the pond area. A stone walkway leads to this peaceful setting. It's also the perfect morning coffee spot!
There is a fire pit area directly outside the front door of the container. Build yourself a roaring fire after jumping out of the nearby hot tub to keep the cozy evening rolling!

There is no need to sacrifice quality due to small spaces. We fit a rain shower into this awesome shower space!
Located above the bedroom, this tiny loft space is a fun indoor feature at the container! Climb the custom built loft ladder to reach this snug spot! Its great for kids and afternoon naps;)
These super heavy iron armed lounge chairs, used to sit out of a local wine store in Tryon, NC. The owner sold them to us with the one condition being that we use them for something special:)
We are coffee lovers!! and hope you are too;) Each guest receives a bag of Red Fox coffee beans, a grinder, and a full Chemex pour over set up. We also provide a coffee maker for those who just need the caffeine fix:)
Up on the deck you will find 2 comfy egg chairs! A sun umbrella can be opened to create shade during the day and a custom built bar runs across the one side of the railing.
